Formula 1 arrives at the home of British Motor Racing this weekend for the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2023. The latest weather forecasts suggest a risk of rain on Saturday, but there's some uncertainty over the exact details. Full details can be found below; this article will be updated as/when the forecast changes.
Friday
Clear and sunny with a few passing light clouds. Afternoon highs of 25–27°C. Generally light winds from the south or south-southeast at 10–15 km/hr. There is no risk of rain.
Saturday
Sunny to start the day but turning increasingly cloudy through the morning. The approaching frontal system crossing is expected to bring a risk of showers during the morning and early afternoon in a window between 10:00 and 15:00 local time. A few showers might be thundery or intense. The risk of rain is moderate to high (40–70%) but there's still some uncertainty over the extent and duration of any showers. Showers are likely to be scattered and therefore hit-or-miss. Highs of 20–22°C with breezy winds of 15–25 km/hr.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms for much of the U.K. between 09:00 and 23:59 on Saturday. Some intense downpours are likely and whilst rainfall accumulations will vary from place to place, as much as 50 mm of rain could fall in a short space of time in some locations. Hail, lightning and gusty winds will be additional hazards.
Sunday
Mostly cloudy with some bright spells. A few showers are possible but the risk is low (<20-405%). Highs of 19–22°C with winds from the south-southwest at 10–15 km/hr.
