Outlook

Fresher than the recent heatwave conditions experienced across much of central and southern England. Cloudier skies are expected to bring spells of rain on Wednesday, some of which may be locally heavy and possibly thundery. Turning more unsettled across the country into the weekend, although not everywhere will see rain or showers, and those that do will have brighter weather between the showers.

Thursday 3 July

Partly cloudy throughout the day with highs of around 20–24°C. A light to gentle breeze from the northwest. The risk of rain is low (<10%). There’s no on-track action on Thursday, but for fans attending Sky Sports’ F1 Show on the main pit straight at 18:00–19:00 or the launch party at the main stage from 19:00, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures of 19–22°C with a moderate breeze.

Friday 4 July

Similar conditions to Thursday with partly cloudy skies and highs of around 20–26°C. Slightly windier than Thursday with a gentle to moderate 15–25 km/hr breeze predominantly from the west. The risk of rain throughout the day is low (<10%). Turning cloudier overnight into Saturday morning.

Saturday 5 July

Uncertainty increases into the weekend. Most forecast models currently indicate a mostly cloudy to overcast day with only an occasional sunny spell. Afternoon highs are expected to be around 18–24°C. Windier than Friday with a moderate 15–30 km/hr breeze from the southwest and local gusts up to 45 km/hr. There is a low to moderate risk (20–40%) of a few scattered showers during the afternoon, some of which could be thundery. Rainfall totals could range between 0–3 mm over the course of the day. The timing and intensity of any rainfall remains uncertain — these details will become clearer and better understood as the week progresses.

Sunday 6 July

Overcast throughout the day with an afternoon high of around 18–23°C. Similar wind conditions as Saturday with a moderate 15–30 km/hr breeze and local gusts up to 45 km/hr from the west. Conditions are expected to remain unsettled with a low to moderate risk (20–50%) of a few scattered showers throughout the day. Rainfall totals could range between 0–4 mm throughout Sunday. Like Saturday, the timing and intensity of any rainfall remains uncertain, and these details will become clearer and better understood as the week progresses.
